Saunders adds Aderi Arthur-Dede to Hawks

Whitehawk have strengthened their attacking options with the acquisition of former Leatherhead man, Aderi Arthur-Dede.

So new a name that almost all were shocked to see the attack-minded forward feature on the bench in Tuesday’s league clash at Lancing, he entered the fray in the 77th minute and posed a threat in the box.

Arthur-Dede scored three goals in six matches with Leatherhead last season, but prior to that was enjoying his football with Westfield, where he found the net an impressive seven times in just the ten appearances during the curtailed 2020-21 campaign. Additionally, the attacker has also spent time with Bedfont Sports, where he shone as a youth player, whilst also featuring for Harefield Utd and London Tigers.

Arthur-Dede joins the Hawks at the same time as Kai Brown and Andrew Sesay. All three played their part in Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw at Lancing, but were unable to fully test Alieu Secka in the hosts’ goal.

All three will be chomping at the bit as they hope to be named in the starting XI for Saturday’s FA Trophy tie at Corinthian as Saunders’ yearns for a consistent offensive weapon.
