Meet the Squad: Forwards
Lucas Rodrigues
The 21-year old Brazilian is the Hawks’ longest serving player, making his debut in 2016. Lucas moved to England as five-year old and is a product of the Hawks successful youth set-up. He scored twice on the opening day of last season against Harlow Town and finished as our leading scorer. He is currently studying at Brighton University.
Connor Tighe
The former Brighton & Hove Albion U23 and Welsh U19 international was born in Peacehaven and re-signed for the Hawks in October 2018 after leaving Burgess Hill Town. The 22-year old was leading scorer for the Hillians in 2017-18, while on loan from the Hawks. He first joined us on loan from the Albion in 2017 before signing permanently. He scored twice within five minutes of appearing as a second half sub at Harlow Town in February last season.
Alfie Rogers
19-year old Alfie played in both treble and double winning Hawks youth teams under Jude Macdonald after starting at Lewes. In 2015-16 he made 41 appearances for Haywards Heath Town. Alfie joined Horsham in January 2017 and scored a hat-trick at Chatham Town in March. He spent last season on a soccer scholarship in the US, playing briefly for Saltdean United over the Christmas period, before re-signing for the Hawks in July 2019.
James Waters
Brighton born James is a Hawks youth team product and a member of the double winning side of 2018. The 18-year old made his first team debut from the bench in the Velocity League Cup tie against Three Bridges last season and his league debut at Tonbridge Angels in November. He had a brief spell at Lewes but re-signed for the Hawks in July 2019.
Duane Ofori-Acheampong
Duane originally joined the Hawks on loan from Woking in February 2109 before signing permanently. The 26-year old Londoner was a Southend United youth product, who has also played for Braintree Town, Harrow Borough, Torquay United, Dover Athletic and Dartford. He scored his first goal for the Hawks in the win at Lewes last season.
