John Rosenblatt
Club Secretary John Rosenblatt is celebrating his 80th birthday today. Next season, our 75th, will be John’s 50th at the club. John took over from founder Ron Powell in 1970, meaning we’ve had only two secretaries in our history. John doesn’t do social media or Facebook but you can contact him by text: 07724 519370
Club Chairman Andy Schofield said: “Non-league football wouldn’t exist without people like John Rosenblatt. Nearly 50 years dedicated service is quite remarkable. John is not only secretary and treasurer, but also runs our very efficient laundry room and cleans the dressing rooms. During the close season he helps Keith maintain the ground and pitch. John is at the club 6 days a week from 8am. Whenever I meet players and supporters from the 70s and 80s they always ask after him. Everyone connected with this club owes a tremendous debt to John Rosenblatt. He’s a true Hawks hero.”
