Henry Muggeridge departs Whitehawk

An emotional day for all attached with Whitehawk Football Club, we can confirm that Henry Muggeridge will be leaving the Hawks.

A gritty, passionate, deeply talented footballer who gave his all for the club and the badge, Muggeridge expressed his love for the club, Tweeting “We’ve had some ups and downs over the past couple of seasons but I absolutely love this club and everything it stands for”.

A Hawk for the previous four seasons, Muggeridge swiftly took the reigns as club captain and has been a stalwart in the midfield ever since.

Scoring goals on a consistent basis, his presence on and off the field quickly made him a fan’s favourite, and we wish Henry all the very best for the future, just as he wishes for Whitehawk.

He will continue his role as joint manager of England’s 6-a-side team, and we look forward to watching his and his side’s progression in the months ahead.

In recognition of his service to the club, the shop will be presenting him with home and away shirts as a token of his time at the Hawks.

115 appearances, 20 goals and 29 assists later, Muggeridge leaves the club a dignified legend, a symbol of this football club.
