The ex-Millwall and Southend United man then rejoined the Hawks in 2019 and provided a total of 17 assists in his first season back at the TerraPura Ground. Dave was appointed player/assistant coach for the start of the 2020-21 season.

Earlier in his career, Crystal Palace paid £25K for Dave when he moved out of non-league football. He joined Millwall for £50K in 2008, appearing for the Lions in the League 1 Wembley play-off final in 2009. He subsequently played for Derby County in the Championship.

Dave was a popular player with the fans and the club would like to thank him for the 80+ games he played for the Hawks.
