Corinthian FA Trophy date confirmed
Following the Hawks’ progression over Tilbury in the FA Trophy on Tuesday evening, Shaun Saunders’ side will travel to fellow Isthmian League South East side Corinthian in the Second Qualifying Round.
‘The Hoops’ advanced via a 7-6 penalty shootout win at Tooting & Mitcham United last night, and will welcome Whitehawk to Gay Dawn Farm on Saturday, September 24.
Corinthian, who currently sit 19th with just one point from their opening four league matches, are set to host the Hawks for just the third occasion after Ross Standen oversaw last season’s convincing 4-0 win on a chilly October night. The only previous meeting in Kent being an FA Vase encounter in 1993, which the Hawks won 3-0.
Up next for the Hawks is a short trip along the coast to Lancing on Tuesday, September 20 before heading to Kent on the ensuing Saturday.
