Another day, another draw. This time it’s for the Velocity Cup, a competition the Hawks faithful will remember fondly last season after reaching the semi-final.

The Hawks will play host to Margate, a side that Shaun Saunders’ side defeated in dramatic circumstances in the same competition back in January. A crazy affair on a Tuesday night, this time it’s Margate making the long midweek voyage.

The two sides have met since that previous 4-3 Whitehawk victory, with the Hawks venturing back to Kent for the first match of the new league season, only to be narrowly defeated 2-1 – a result that still remains the side’s most recent defeat in all competitions.

Ties are to be played before the end of October, and a confirmed date will be announced in due course.
