Whitehawk add George Taggart to ranks
Whitehawk Football Club is pleased to capture the signature of highly commended attacking midfielder, George Taggart, following his departure from Lancing.
The second player to move from The Lancers to The Enclosed Ground this summer – following the arrival of Andrew Briggs last week – Taggart featured 38 times in Isthmian South East last season, scoring seven times in the process.
A playmaker who makes things happen, assistant manager David Altendorff – the former manager or Lancing – was full of praise for the young starlet, and managed to secure his services despite a feast of other clubs desiring the midfielder.
Joining Lancing from Eastbourne Town at the start of the 2023/24 season, his ascension in men’s football has been swift, and he hopes to carry his good form into his new club of Whitehawk:
““I’m really looking forward to getting started. Having played against Whitehawk a few times in the past I know what a great fan base they have and hopefully I can play my part in giving them plenty to cheer about this coming season.”
