Sobowale Signs! Hawks add forward to squad

The Hawks are delighted to add talented 22 year old forward Ronald Sobowale to the squad after he signed today from fellow Isthmian South East side Whyteleafe.

Ronald, cousin of Bayern Munich star and Austria international David Alaba, has had a brilliant season so far with The Leafe scoring 23 goals in 32 appearances with 17 of those goals coming in the league making him joint 3rd on the list of top goal scorers.

He started his career in the youth teams at Chelsea where he featured in the same sides as current Premier League regulars Tammy Abraham and Dominic Solanke. After his release from The Blues, Sobowale went on to have spells with clubs in Germany. Back in England, he has featured for Carshalton Athletic, Molesey and Walton Casuals before signing for Whyteleafe. More recently he had had trials with Championship sides Middlesbrough, Barnsley and Cardiff City, where he scored the only goal in 1 -0 friendly win over MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

Ronald was scheduled to make his debut away at Whitstable Town, however following the announcement by the Isthmian league this match was cancelled. We hope he will make his debut in the coming weeks.
