Saunders | “We’re buzzing to get going again”
Ahead of Whitehawk’s long awaited FA Trophy tie with Tilbury on Tuesday evening, manager Shaun Saunders spoke to the media to offer his thoughts on the fixture.
“I’m expecting a very tough game; they’ve [Tilbury] had a very good start so I think it’ll be a tough game for us. I’ve said it before, all games at this level are never easy, especially away from home, but it’s one that we’re looking forward to. We haven’t played for two weeks so we’re buzzing to get going again.”
“For all sides you want to keep the games coming thick and fast, especially when you’ve had a good start. The break is not one that we would’ve wanted but it is what it is and we have to get on with that so it’s an opportunity for us to get going again.”
“The players are gagging for Tuesday; they’re really looking forward to it as am I and it can’t come soon enough.”
“Like all cup competitions you want to go as deep in as you can, and this is no different. And I’m sure Tilbury are the same, they’re probably thinking it’s an opportunity to progress as we are so yeah, we’ll be going therein good spirits, I’ll pick the strongest side I’ve got available to me and we’ll look to have a go at it for sure.”
