Shaun Saunders has strengthened his playing squad with the signings of Marvin Herschel and Lauric Diakiesse.

Herschel, 19, is a speedy wide-midfielder who joined National League South side Dartford’s academy three years ago and was part of the side that won the Kent Academy Cup last year.

Making a string of appearances for ‘The Darts’ this season, it is mainly in the cup competitions where Herschel has featured, impressing the management team.

Joining him to The Enclosed Ground is 25-year-old forward, Lauric Diakiesse, who has featured for both Ashford United and Ramsgate this season.

Spells at Kettering, Grantham and Rushden & Diamonds, Diakiesse moved to Ashford in the summer of last season before making the switch to the Rams in October, where he made nine appearances.

And now to Whitehawk to bolster the attacking options as we move into March. Both players trained yesterday evening and are available for selection ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Burgess Hill Town.
