DBT UK Sponsors Whitehawk Women’s Team

DBT UK a leading private therapy company providing suicide and self harm prevention therapies such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), has announced a new sponsorship deal with Whitehawk Football Club’s women’s and girls teams. This collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to empowering local communities while supporting important societal issues, including LGBT+ inclusion, suicide prevention, and addressing the ongoing cost of living crisis.

This partnership is vital as self-harm and suicide rates for 16–24-year-old girls has risen dramatically since 2018. DBT UK is committed to providing very effective evidence-based therapies which are proven to reduce the risk and rates of both self-harm and suicide .

We chose Whitehawk because East Sussex has a higher suicide rate than the National average with Roedean cliffs being the 3rd highest place in the UK where people end their life and the team owners are passionate about supporting the community.

DBT UK provides lifesaving therapy for those struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation. This partnership hopes to raise awareness of DBT UK’s services within the wider community.

DBT UK’s sponsorship also highlights the company’s dedication to fostering inclusivity, particularly for the LGBT+ community. By supporting Whitehawk’s women’s team, which is known for its acceptance of LGBT+ athletes, DBT UK reinforces its commitment to promoting equality in sports.

The sponsorship provides a platform for raising awareness about the importance of inclusion, respect, and acceptance, both on and off the field. It’s a powerful reminder that sports can be an arena for positive change, where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued, regardless of their sexual orientation, race or gender identity.

Considering the ongoing cost of living crisis, DBT UK is also focusing on providing practical support to the local community. The company plans to collaborate with Whitehawk FC on initiatives that aim to ease the financial burdens faced by individuals and families. This includes funding mental health resources to help those struggling during these difficult times.

By supporting local initiatives, DBT UK seeks to offer a helping hand to those affected by the economic challenges of the current climate.

DBT UK’s partnership with Whitehawk Women’s Team is more than just a sponsorship deal; it’s a pledge to support causes that matter. Whether through promoting LGBT+ inclusion, supporting suicide prevention efforts, or assisting during the cost-of-living crisis, the collaboration embodies the company’s commitment to building stronger, more inclusive communities. Through this partnership, DBT UK hopes to make a lasting, positive impact both on the football field and in the wider communities most pressing issues.
