Saunders | “We’ll dust ourselves down and go again”
Following yesterday’s 1-0 defeat at Potters Bar Town, manager Shaun Saunders has sent a message to the supporters.
“I haven’t had to say it very often, but I’d like to apologise to our supporters who travelled yesterday, chanting to the end. Collectively we were no where near good enough, and we’ll be looking to put things right quickly. Without a doubt our worst showing this season, but we must not lose sight of how far we’ve come. We’ve had a fantastic start and we’ll be looking to bounce back quickly.”
“This league is very tough – full of quality top to bottom. We’re in a good place and have been getting the results even though we’ve not yet hit the levels I know the group are capable of. The players are desperately disappointed after yesterday, but we’ll dust ourselves down and go again!”
