Kamara and Okoh join the Hawks
Hawks had added some Isthmian League experience to the squad with the signing of defender Mohamed Kamara in addition to forward Stephen Okoh, who joined just prior to the recent game with Lancing.
Kamara played against the Hawks for Ashford United and Herne Bay, before joining Margate at the start of this campaign. Manager Ross Standen explained: “With Frankie, Lloyd and Henry getting injured we’ve been short at centre half. Mo’s preferred position is central defence, but he can also play right back or holding midfield. He brings experience, good height and pace.”
About Okoh Standen added: “It’s common knowledge that we’ve had serious injuries to Ronnie Conlon and Charlie Coppola, which has taken the width out of our side. Steve is someone we knew from Lewes four years ago and his performances got him a move into Scottish football with Stranraer. Since then, he’s played for Kent sides such as Bromley, Margate and Hythe, as well as Faversham which is where we signed him from. We’re looking to Steve to give us pace, power and width, as well as goals. We are really looking forward to working with him again.”
Both players are available for Saturday’s FA Trophy clash with Tooting & Mitcham United.
