Hawks Handed Away Cup Draw

The Hawks have been handed an Away tie to finally get their Emirates FA Cup campaign underway as we’ve been drawn Away to take on either fellow Isthmian South East side Sittingbourne or Sussex neighbours Littlehampton Town of the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division.

The two sides need a replay to determine who will face the Hawks after a 2-2 draw at Woodstock Park on Saturday, with Sittingbourne coming back from 2-0 down to force a replay at The Sportsfield in Littlehampton on Wednesday 25th August (7.30pm Kickoff). The Hawks were handed a bye to the First Qualifying Round following the withdrawal of Whyteleafe.

Both sides have also made good starts to their respective league campaigns with The Brickies defeating Lancing 4-0 on the opening day of the Isthmian South East season and The Marigolds sit 3rd in their league with 3 wins out of 4 games played, scoring 17 goals in those 4 games. Littlehampton also didn’t hold back in their opening Emirates FA Cup tie in the Extra Preliminary Round when they travelled to Broadbridge Heath, defeating The Bears 6-2 before travelling to Sittingbourne last Saturday.

Subject to any unforeseen changes the tie will be played on Saturday 4th September with a 3pm kickoff in either Sittingbourne or Littlehampton.
