Demas shared with the Dockers

Hawks promising forward Demas Ramsis, 19, has signed joint registration forms with Newhaven in the Southern Combination Premier Division. Demas has made three appearances in the Hawks first team this season and started in the match at Hastings United in August. Explaining the move, Ross Standen said: “Demas had a disrupted pre-season and then end up missing a month with a hamstring injury. He just needs to get some game time and will continue training with us, as he’s still very much part of our first team squad.”

Demas made his debut off the bench for the Dockers in the 62nd minute against Broadbridge Heath last Saturday.

Hawks experienced defender Lloyd Cotton, 36, is taking two months away from the game to concentrate on his new business venture. Standen commented: “Lloyd is a personal trainer, so he will maintain his fitness if we need him in an emergency. However, at this stage of his career, it’s understandable that Lloyd has to think about his future too.”

Lloyd joined the Hawks just before the second lockdown in October 2020 and after getting injured in pre-season has made four appearances so far. He expects to link up with the first team squad again in the new year.
