Third Former Rook Becomes Hawk

As announced exclusively on this evening’s Zoom event with Hawks fans, we’re happy to announce the signing of arguably the smartest footballer in Sussex, Charlie Coppola.

Charlie had taken a short break from football to focus on studying medicine at Warwick University. He will split his time between qualifying as a doctor and playing for the Hawks.

On the signing of Coppola, Ross said to the fans: “We’re over the moon to get Charlie signed on. He is a local lad from Brighton who played for myself and Codge for 4 years since making his debut at Lewes at the age of 17, where he was a fans favourite. He is one of the most likeable lads I have met for someone with his talent and even turned down an opportunity to become a professional footballer a couple of years ago so he could follow his dream of becoming a doctor. Not only is he great lad and a great talent, he is also someone who works very hard for the team and can play anywhere across the forward line. I can’t wait for him to join up with the squad and look forward to seeing him play in a Whitehawk shirt. Another great addition to the squad who the fans will love watching play.”

Coppola is Ross Standen’s third signing, following the news over the last two weeks that Omarr Lawson and Leon Redwood had also joined the club.
