Whitehawk FC Launches Heritage Clothing Range with Umbro and Modfather to Mark 80th Anniversary
Whitehawk Football Club has teamed up with kit partner Umbro and iconic clothing brand Modfather to launch a special Heritage Range celebrating the club’s 80th anniversary.
The collection features a timeless polo shirt, available in navy blue, carrying the classic Umbro diamond alongside the Hawks crest in gold. Completing the line-up is a very special 80th Anniversary shirt, showcasing the club’s traditional badge with commemorative embroidery on the back – a true collector’s item for fans.
Founded in 2012 by Mario and Daniel Warner, Modfather Clothing was born from a shared love of clothes, music, and classic Italian scooters. Starting out in Camden’s historic Stables Market, the brand quickly became a must-visit destination for fashion and Mod culture enthusiasts. In 2020, Modfather opened its Brighton store on Church Street – the site previously home to Dockerills, the family business of Hawks’ Head of Youth & Women’s Football, Ryan Gayler. The store has since gone from strength to strength, attracting customers from across the world, and will celebrate its fifth anniversary this October.
Gayler, who played a central role in bringing the collaboration together, said:
“This collaboration is really special for me personally. Having grown up with Dockerills as part of my family’s history on Church Street, it’s amazing to see the site now home to Modfather – and to bring the Hawks into that story for our 80th anniversary feels like it’s come full circle. The range looks fantastic and I know fans will love it.”
For Modfather, co-founder Dan Warner added:
“We’re delighted to be working with Whitehawk FC and Umbro on this project. Brighton has always been at the heart of Mod culture, and to combine that with a club that’s so deeply rooted in its community makes perfect sense. The Heritage Range is about celebrating style, music, football, and identity – things that connect us all – and we’re proud to be part of the Hawks’ anniversary celebrations.”
Speaking on behalf of the club, Vice Chair Kevin Miller said:
“A huge thanks to Ryan and Dan, who have been brilliant in making this happen. Brighton has a deep history with Mod culture, and these iconic pieces not only celebrate that heritage but also give Hawks fans the chance to own something truly special for our 80th Anniversary.”
The Heritage Range polo shirts and 80th Anniversary shirts are now available at Modfather’s Brighton store here, and will soon be available online and at the Whitehawk FC club shop.
