Tyrese and Declan both head east

Just before last week’s encounter with Phoenix Sports, The Hawks announced the signing from Isthmian Premier League Worthing of 21-year old Brighton-based midfielder Tyrese Mthunzi. Tyrese came through the Worthing Academy after playing in the U18 set up and joined the first team squad this season, making his last Rebels’ appearance in the Velocity Trophy in February 2022. Tyrese also played six games on loan at Lancing earlier this season, including appearing against the Hawks in their 2-1 win in September.

Hawks defender Declan Kama, 20, has returned to Harwich & Parkeston FC, who play in the Eastern Counties League Division 1 South.  Declan last played in the 2-1 defeat at Herne Bay at the end of last month, where he started the game at right back, one of 7 appearances after joining in October 2021.  Manager Ross Standen explained: “Declan is a really good lad, but wants to get some regular game time. He will remain dual signed should we need him.”
