RESULT | U18 WHITEHAWK 1 HORSHAM 3

Horsham ended the Young Hawks title hopes with a convincing 3-1 win. Hawks conceded a soft goal from a corner as early as the sixth minute and fell further behind just before half time. The Hornets were the better side and increase their lead after another error at a corner ten minutes into the second half. A Callum Esnouf strike with fifteen minutes left gave the Hawks some hope, but it proved to be only a consolation.

Hawks had put ten goals past the Hornets on their own ground this season in league and cup, but this was a very different side they were up against.

Manager Del Tobias’ mood was not helped by the fact that top three rivals Three Bridges surprisingly lost at Bognor Regis Town, leaving Worthing very much in the driving seat to take the title.

  1. Thought the boys looked a bit leggy after a lot of games recently following the numerous postponements this season.
