Charlie signed for the Hawks during the second lockdown in November 2020 but has missed the whole of the 21-22 season so far, after a serious ankle injury in pre-season.
Currently studying medicine at Warwick University, where he is training to become a doctor, Charlie turned down the offer of a professional contract from Bristol City while at Lewes. He broke into the Rooks first team at the age of 17 and went on to make over 50 appearances as the Rooks won promotion back to the Isthmian Premier.
Charlie joined Horsham before the start of the 20-21 season but had yet to make an appearance for the Hornets before he joined the Hawks.
Charlie played in the Sussex Schools FA side with Lucas Rodrigues and Luke Emberson that defeated Northumberland 2-0 in the ESFA National County Final at Birmingham City FC in 2016. He also appeared for the England Colleges international side.
