Midfielder Arnaud Mendy has re-joined Whitehawk.

The 27-year-old 6`3” midfielder played for ALM Evreux and FC Rouen in his home country of France and began his career in England with Derby County, making his Championship debut in a 3-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday in 2009.

He later played for Macclesfield Town and Luton Town and originally joined the Hawks in the summer of 2015 after a season with Lincoln City.

He moved to league rivals Hemel Hempstead Town in the summer of 2016 along with current Billericay Town hot-shot Jake Robinson.

He played eighteen times for the Tudors before moving to Maltese side Naxxar Lions in September 2017.

Mendy, capped twice for Guinea-Bissau, was released by Naxxar earlier this month and joins the Hawks in time for our league clash away at Dartford tomorrow (Saturday).

The club can also confirm that Ryan Worrall has signed dual registration forms with Bostik Premier side Tonbridge Angels, whilst Michael Cain has also departed the TerraPura Ground. Fintan Walsh has also signed dual registration forms with Burgess Hill Town in a bid to get regular first team football.

Cain, signed for the Hawks back in September 2017 after he was released from Leicester City. He leaves the Hawks to join Hemel Hempstead Town. We would like to thank Michael for his efforts for the Hawks and wish him well for the future.

Talking about Worrall, boss Steve King said: “Ryan has gone to Tonbridge Angels to get some regular first team football, but is still firmly in our plans moving forward.

“He wants to play a more central role, and that’s not something we can offer at present.

“We saw from his debut against Bognor Regis Town that he is a great player, and won the Man of the Match award and a place in Team of the Week despite coming on as a substitute.

“He is certainly in our plans moving forward and is an exciting prospect.”
