Matchday Information: Return to The TerraPura Ground

Following a long period the Hawks are now able to host competitive football matches at The TerraPura Ground and we wish to inform everyone who will be visiting of some of the changes in how the ground and club will operate on matchdays and also how you can help the club when you attend.

The club have been required to make a large number of changes in order to follow UK Government, FA and Isthmian League guidelines, all of which make the club “Covid Secure” which can ensure that all those who come to the ground can enjoy themselves safely.

Ticketing/Entry to the Ground

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, please DO NOT leave your home.

Temperature checks will be taking place at the entry to the ground. If you have a temperature higher than 37.8C, you will be asked to stand aside for 5 minutes before having a second check. If the temperature has not dropped below 37.8C, then you will not be allowed access to the ground.

In line with FA guidelines, the maximum attendance for ALL fixtures at The TerraPura Ground will be 400 until further notice. There will be 3 ways to get access to the ground for matches

  1. Purchasing a Hawks season ticket will guarantee entry to all Home Isthmian League fixtures. You will also be given first opportunity to secure entry to cup matches. Season tickets cost £150 for adults and £75 for concessions. Season tickets can be purchased here – https://whitehawkfc.ktckts.com/
  2. Purchasing tickets in advance will be the next best way to secure entry to Hawks matches. Through our Hawks+ scheme you would be given a priority window to buy your match ticket in advance to guarantee you will be able to get in. The Hawks+ scheme also comes with many other benefits, full details here – https://whitehawkfc.ktckts.com/.
  3. Should tickets remain available, you will be able to Pay on the Gate, however owing to the reduced capacity it cannot be guaranteed that there will be tickets available on the day so it is strongly advised that you buy in advance. If buying on the day, we ask that you are able to pay by card, but cash will still be accepted at this time. Should the game sell out in advance, it will be posted online that tickets on the day will not be available.

Inside the Ground

Given the nature of the ongoing pandemic, there have been changes to how the ground will operate. We ask ALL visitors to The TerraPura Ground to practice social distancing around the ground and try to remain 2 metres away from others where possible. We also ask that everyone follows the current “rule of 6” advice wherever possible. To aid with stopping the spread, we ask that all fans bring and wear face coverings (unless medically exempt). We also ask that fans bring their own hand sanitiser and use it when appropriate. The toilet block next to the ground entrance will remain available for use but will be limited to 2 people at each time. The toilets inside the clubhouse will be closed off to visitors and used by club staff only at this time.

Every other row of seats in the stands will be closed off to allow fans to spread out more and prevent groups forming. Please respect this by not using rows of seats that are closed off and observe social distancing where possible.

Track and Trace

The club are legally required to take details from ALL visitors at The TerraPura Ground to assist the NHS Contact Tracing service. As required by the UK Government, we have signed up to the NHS Covid-19 App and QR codes are placed at the entrance to the ground to enable you to “check-in”. We ask all visitors to the ground to download the NHS Covid-19 App prior to attending on the day.

As a club, we appreciate there are some concerns surrounding the app and that there are accessibility issues for it. We respectfully ask that if possible, the app should be downloaded as it is the best way to keep yourselves and the club safe at this time.

The NHS have provided a FAQ page for the app which is available here – https://faq.covid19.nhs.uk/

Should the app not be an option, the club will have the ability to manually take down information from visitors to assist the NHS should an outbreak occur, however we ask that this option is only used if required to prevent queues forming.

Food and Drink Service

The clubhouse at The TerraPura Ground will be open for takeaway service only and a one-way system will be in operation. This system will be operated and managed by stewards. In line with Government advice, you must wear a face covering to enter the Clubhouse (unless medically exempt). If you do not have a face covering and are not exempt, you will not be allowed access. A limited number will be allowed in at any one time and markers will be on the floor showing where you should wait in a queue. We ask that card payment is used if possible to pay for food/drink but cash will still be accepted at this time. Once food/drink is purchased, we ask that you leave the clubhouse to allow others in. Food and drink cannot be consumed inside the clubhouse.

We appreciate that there are a large number of changes but with the current situation, these changes mean that we are able to resume football at our level. To ensure that there are no issues, we ask fans to please follow the new guidelines for the benefit of themselves, their fellow visitors and the club. We thank everyone for their patience and cooperation whilst we try to navigate the new normal.
