Recap
Sevenoaks Town 1-1 Whitehawk
Whitehawk battled to a 1-1 draw away against Sevenoaks Town on Tuesday evening in a relatively even game, with both sides matching each other well.
The Hawks had an opening chance after 3 minutes as Lucas Rodrigues used his rapid pace to break down the near side to hit a tantalising ball in towards an incoming Henry Muggeridge, but the ball had a touch too much pace on it for the ball to be tapped in. Rodrigues continued to look lively throughout the half and had another decent chance after 28 minutes following a blistering run by David Martin and his resulting shot being blocked led to some hurried Oaks defending, resulting in a shot by the Brazilian being saved by keeper Ben Bridle-Card. As half chance approached, the Hawks should have taken the lead with a David Martin chance from the far post somehow not going in, but instead hitting the near post. It looked as if the teams would go into the dressing rooms level but deep in first half added time, the 2 liveliest players for the Hawks combined with Martin playing in Rodrigues to smash home his first goal of the season.
The Second Half was relatively cagey with each side only managing half chances, but Sevenoaks substitute Tyrell Richardson-Brown brought The Oaks level with an easy tap-in at close range. Chances and major events were few and far between but as the game was entering the closing stages, Alfie Rogers had a shot deflected behind for a corner. From the resulting corner, a piledriver of a shot from John Paul Kissock was blocked and then cleared by the Sevenoaks defence. The Oaks could have won it right at the death, but Frankie Sawyer could only head over the bar, to end the game in a fair draw.
