Hawks Swoop to Take Rook

The Hawks are pleased to announce the signing of versatile defender Leon Redwood. Leon joins the Hawks from neighbours Lewes, where he previously played under new Hawks manager, Ross Standen.

Speaking on the signing of Redwood, Ross said: “I’m really pleased and excited to get someone like Leon at the club. He is someone we know very well having played for all of us within the management team previously. He was the first person on our list for players in his position. Leon will bring great balance , experience & quality to the squad in open play and on set pieces. He is a player who the fans will enjoy watching. Leon previously played a big part in our promotion side from this league at Lewes and was a major part of the team in the league higher. He also has national league experience. We are looking forward to working closely with him again and welcome him to the club.”

Leon is Standen’s second signing for the Hawks following the announcement that Omarr Lawson joined this week from Isthmian Premier side Kingstonian.
