Freeman Joins The Hawks
The Hawks have signed midfielder Tegan Freeman from Lewes. The nephew of Hawks legend Darren Freeman, Tegan joins the Hawks having featured for the Rooks first team in the last few seasons, while still a youth player. Freeman played a pivotal role in helping Sussex Colleges to the National Finals.
Ross Standen spoke about Tegan at our community day on Saturday: “Tegan is a young midfielder who we gave his Isthmian Premier League debut to as a 16 year old at Lewes. We are pleased to win his signature under competition from other local sides. He has already made about 25 starts for Lewes at a very young age and this figure would have been many more if Covid hadn’t ended the last 2 seasons. Still only 18, he is another local Brighton lad who is regarded as one of the best young teenagers in Sussex. We look forward to seeing him develop further at Whitehawk.”
