New Hawks Manager Richard Hill made four new additions to his squad on Tuesday with the signings of Reece Connolly, Ben Strevens, Tony Lee and Jack Masterton.
Connolly, 24, joins The Hawks after leaving Basingstoke at the end of the 15/16 season. The Forward has previously featured for Aldershot Town, Farnborough, Forest Green Rovers and Eastleigh, where he was signed by Hill for The Spitfire’s run-in in their Conference South title-winning season.
Strevens, 36, joins after leaving Eastleigh this week by mutual consent, making 118 appearances and scoring 21 goals in a three year spell in Hampshire. Ben is highly experienced and has featured for numerous Football League sides including Barnet, where he featured 195 times in 7 years, scoring 42 goals, Dagenham & Redbridge (125 appearances, 35 goals) and Wycombe Wanderers (76 appearances, 11 goals). He also featured under Richard Hill whilst at Eastleigh and during the latter part of the 15/16 season, Strevens worked as Player/Assistant Manager and also was Caretaker Manager for one game this season following the departure of previous manager, Chris Todd.
Lee, 1 of 2 players signed on loan from Eastleigh on an initial one month loan, came through the youth system at the Silverlake Stadium and was handed a professional contract with the club last November. Tony has recently had loan spells with Southern League side Dorchester Town and National League South newcomers Poole Town. Tony’s main position is as a Forward, however he can also play in Defence, where he featured on his Hawks debut against Hampton and Richmond Borough.
Masterton, the 2nd player signed on loan from Eastleigh on an initial one month loan, has also came through the youth system at the Silverlake Stadium. 19 year old Jack plays as a Defender and had a loan spell earlier in 2016 to Southern League Division One South/West side Larkhall Athletic.
Everyone at the club welcomes Reece, Ben, Tony and Jack to The Hawks!
