Last Thursday, we posted Part One of our preview to the 18/19 Bostik Premier League Season of teams from A to H (If you haven’t read it yet, it’s here). In Part Two, we preview the teams from K onwards.

Kingstonian (The K’s)

Ground – King George’s Field, Tolworth, KT6 7NA (Groundshare with Corinthian Casuals)

Last Season – 13th

Home Match – Saturday 29th September (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 19th January (3PM)

After a season ground sharing with Leatherhead, Kingstonian will return to their home borough of Kingston after agreeing a groundshare with Corinthian Casuals. This is after The K’s had to leave their old Kingsmeadow home at the end of the 16/17 season following its sale to Chelsea. On the field, Manager Leigh Dynan is showing serious intent for promotion by signing last seasons league top scorer Elliot Buchanan from Staines Town and also Louis Theophanous and Leo Chambers from champions Billericay Town to name a few. The Hawks and Kingstonian last played each other in the 12/13 season with The Hawks winning both matches with a 2-0 victory at The TerraPura Ground and a 3-2 win away at Kingsmeadow.

Leatherhead (The Tanners)

Ground – Fetcham Grove, Leatherhead, KT22 9AS

Last Season – 6th

Home Match – Tuesday 5th February (7.45PM)

Away Match – Wednesday 15th August (7.45PM)

After narrowly missing out on the playoffs last season, it’s been all change at Leatherhead with manager Sammy Moore and assistant (and also their top scorer) Jack Midson leaving to take charge at Concord Rangers, which also saw a few players make the move to Essex with them. The man to replace them was former Margate boss Nikki Bull who has moved to sign former Hawks striker Elliot Benyon along former Aldershot forward Shaun Okojie and Defender Matt Drage. The Hawks and The Tanners last faced each other back in 2011 in a Ryman South Playoff Semi-Final, with The Tanners winning 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 AET draw. They went on to win the final too, with a 4-3 win over Dulwich Hamlet.

Lewes (The Rooks)

Ground – The Dripping Pan, Lewes, BN7 2XA

Last Season – 2nd (Promoted from Isthmian League South)

Home Match – Tuesday 23rd October (7.45PM)

Away Match – Saturday 2nd Match (3PM)

Arguably one of the best run clubs in non-league football and the only side in football to pay both its mens and womens teams the same amount, Lewes are back in the Isthmian Premier after narrowly missing out on the Bostik South title, despite accumulating a staggering 99 points. Manager Darren Freeman is a Hawks legend after leading us from the Sussex County League to the Conference South in just 4 years. With the vast majority of The Rooks’ promotion squad remaining, along with the additions of Goalkeeper Lewis Carey, Attacking Midfielder Nassim Dukali and the return of former captain Jack Walder, Freeman will be looking to push for another Isthmian promotion. The Hawks last took on The Rooks in December 2016 in a Sussex Senior Cup tie at The Dripping Pan, which saw us run out as 3-0 winners.

Margate (The Gate)

Ground – Hartsdown Park, Margate, CT9 5QZ

Last Season – 7th

Home Match – Monday 27th August (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 22nd December (3PM)

It’s been a Summer of change at Hartsdown Park as Manager Steven Watt has left to join Maidstone United as an Assistant Manager and top scorer Jordan Chiedozie has moved on as well. New management duo Steve Brown and Mike Sandmann have already made moves ahead of the new season, bringing in Goalkeeper Henry Newcombe from Wycombe, Defender Ollie Boulding from Ebbsfleet and Midfielder Alex Brown for Dartford, as The Gate look to improve on last seasons 7th place finish. The Hawks last faced Margate in the 16/17 season, winning both fixtures Home and Away 2-0.

Merstham (The Moatsiders)

Ground – Moatside, Merstham, RH1 3QB

Last Season – 18th

Home Match – Saturday 20th April (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 8th December (3PM)

The Surrey Senior Cup winners will be looking to improve on last seasons 18th place finish in the Bostik Premier League and manager Hayden Bird has already brought in reinforcements, with Goalkeeper Chris Haigh, Defender Tom Bird and Midfielder Kenny Beaney, who last season helped Dulwich Hamlet to promotion, all coming in. The last meeting between The Hawks and The Moatsiders was back in September 2014 in an FA Cup Third Qualifying Round tie, which we won 2-1 with Jake Robinson scoring a brace.

Potters Bar Town (The Scholars)

Ground – Pakex Stadium, Potters Bar, EN6 1QB

Last Season – 2nd (Promoted from Isthmian League North)

Home Match – Saturday 16th February (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 18th August (3PM)

The Scholars have been promoted into Step 3 of non-league football for the first time in the clubs history after a successful season back in the Isthmian League after a few seasons in the Southern League. 23 goals from Eoin Casey helped their cause and they’ve further boosted their strike force after signing Striker Keagan Cole from Hendon, a transfer funded by fans of the club. The Hawks and The Scholars have never previously faced each other.

Tonbridge Angels (The Angels)

Ground – Longmead Stadium, Tonbridge, TN10 3JF

Last Season – 11th

Home Match – Saturday 23rd March (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 3rd November (3PM)

The Angels will be starting the new season without last seasons top scorer Alex Akrofi, as he has moved up a level to join Chelmsford City in the National League South. They’re replacing him with another top scorer from the Bostik Premier League, Alex Read from Harlow Town. They’ve also brought in his team-mate Jared Small, Hendon Defender Arthur Lee and have re-signed the versatile James Folkes. The Hawks and The Angels last faced off in the 13/14 Conference South, with us winning 1-0 at The TerraPura Ground and Tonbridge winning 3-1 at the Longmead Stadium.

Wingate & Finchley (The Blues)

Ground – The Maurice Rebak Stadium, Finchley, N12 0PD

Last Season – 9th

Home Match – Saturday 25th August (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 9th February (3PM)

The Blues are coming off another top half Bostik Premier League finish and look to be one of the most stable clubs in the league. New signings have came in the return of Defender Marc Weatherstone, who will add to his 434 appearances in North London and become Wingate’s all-time appearance record holder, and Striker Lewis Putman from Dorking Wanderers. The Hawks and The Blues last faced each other during the 12/13 season with us winning both matches – a 3-1 win at Home and a 3-2 win Away.

Worthing (The Rebels)

Ground – The Bibby Financial Services Stadium, Worthing, BN14 7HQ

Last Season – 16th

Home Match – Saturday 10th November (3PM)

Away Match – Saturday 16th March (3PM)

After an awful start to last season on and off the field with The Rebels having to play Home matches in Bognor Regis due to issues with the 3G pitch at Woodside Road, coinciding with a horrific run of form, Adam Hinshelwood came in and steered Worthing away from relegation. They’ll look to have a more positive season this time out, but will be without last seasons top scorer Kieron Pamment who has joined Burgess Hill, along with another Rebels Striker, Ben Pope. They’ll also be without Winger Zach Newton, who has moved up a level to join Welling United. Coming in is Bognor Regis duo James Crane and Ollie Pearce, Burgess Hill Defender Will Miles and Met Police Striker Callum Kealy.
