Brazilian-born and Brighton-educated Lucas Santos Rodrigues signed a senior contract with The Hawks in July 2016 after being an integral part of the Under 18 side and impressing during a trial period with the first team in pre-season under manager Pablo Asensio.

While studying at City College Brighton in 2016, with Hawks teammate Luke Emberson, he was part of the Sussex Schools U18 team which won the ESFA National Final against Northumberland at Birmingham City’s ground.

Lucas had a spell on loan at Burgess Hill Town in 2017, joined them for the second time in October 2017 and again in March 2018.

Lucas is currently the Hawks longest serving player, and will continue that into the 18/19 season after signing a new deal in May 2018 to become Jude’s first summer signing.
