Former Swindon and Torquay forward Lloyd Macklin signed for the Hawks in March 2018.

Lloyd played against the Hawks for Basingstoke Town in the 2015 semi-final play off second leg, coming in as a second half sub after Jake Robinson had scored what turned out to be the winner in the 50th minute.  He also played alongside Elliot Benyon at Torquay.

Lloyd scored a hat-trick for Torquay against Cheltenham Town in the Football League Trophy in 2011. He scored his first goal for the Hawks against one of his fomer clubs Welling United in April.
