Goalscoring midfielder James Fraser re-signed for the Hawks in June 2018 after 4 years away having been a key member of the squad that won back to back promotions to reach the National League South in 2013. Joining from Bognor in 2011, James scored twice within the first 20 minutes of his debut and went on to be the Hawks’s leading scorer as they won promotion from the Ryman League Division 1 South. He was also a regular member of the team that won the Ryman Premier League in 2013 and played the final game of his first spell at the Enclosed Ground against Boreham Wood in December 2013.
At the start of his career, James had two years as a professional at Bristol Rovers without making a first team appearance, being leaving in 2009 after a serious knee injury. He was released by the Albion as a 16-year old but spotted by Rovers while captaining England schools.
James’ elder brother Tommy has had three spells with the Hawks and his father Frankie also played briefly for the club in 1983.
