The popular David Ijaha made his return to the Hawks in September 2017 after leaving Wealdstone. Ijaha made 62 league appearances at The Enclosed Ground in a two-year spell from 2014-2016, where he helped The Hawks reach back-to-back play-offs.

He began his career at Chelsea’s academy and also spent time on the books at Wolverhampton Wanderers, joining Whitehawk for the first time from Tonbridge Angels. Ijaha left the Hawks in the summer of 2016 to join League Two Plymouth Argyle. After finally making his football league debut at the age of 27 against Luton Town, he was released at the end of the season and joined fellow National League South side Wealdstone.
