Hawks boss Pablo Asensio and Striker Danny Mills have picked up the Vanarama National League South Manager and Player of the Month awards for April, a spell which saw The Hawks surge up the table to seal a playoff position on the final day of the season.

Pablo oversaw a month in which The Hawks won 6 out of their 8 matches, losing just the once at the beginning of the month to playoff chasing Maidenhead United. Following this, The Hawks picked up victories against Wealdstone, Oxford City, Weston-super-Mare, Bath City, Maidstone United and a final day win over Hemel Hempstead to secure a 5th place finish, as well as a draw away to Truro City.

Danny featured in all 8 games in April for The Hawks, scoring 5 goals including a dramatic 90th minute equaliser at Truro, taking his tally this season to 32 goals in all competitions in his 53 appearances this season, a tally he added to on Wednesday night in the 2-1 Playoff 1st Leg defeat at Home against Ebbsfleet United.

The awards were received on Friday morning at The Enclosed Ground by Pablo, as well as Club Secretary John Rosenblatt and Vice Chairman Nigel Thornton.

Congratulations to Pablo and Danny!
