Match Report

Whitehawk and Worthing drew a blank at The Enclosed Ground on Saturday Afternoon as both teams began their Pre-Season campaigns.

Chances were few and far between during the game, but The Hawks started the brightest with good crosses by Duncan Culley and Gabriel Yan being deflected behind for corner’s, but The Hawks lacked a killer instinct to finish at times, but they did force good saves from Rikki Banks and Worthing substitute keeper Jack Fagan.

The Hawks fielded a team mostly of trialists in the Second Half, with Worthing also making multiple changes and again The Hawks dominated with Trialists firing narrowly over on a few occasions, though Worthing also had a hat-trick of chances courtesy of former Whitehawk Under 18 Lucas Rodrigues. The scoreline certainly reflected the game, as both teams mainly used the game to build up fitness, but the main result of game was achieved as both teams came out of the game Injury free.
