Whitehawk Football Club are delighted to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (The MET), who are sponsoring the club’s shirts for the 2018/19
season.

The Hawks commence their 2018/19 season in the Bostik Premier League with the MET logo on the front of the home and away first team shirts, as well as the club’s successful under-18’s home and away shirts.

The MET was created from a merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. The partnership with Whitehawk FC will create new and exciting opportunities for students at the
Hawk’s TerraPura Ground, as well as give the Bostik League Premier club the chance to promote the beautiful game to thousands of people across the region.

The MET operates across five campuses in Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing, and teach around 3,500 16-18 year olds, 7,500 adult learners, 1,000 undergraduates and 800 apprentices.

Lucie Coxon, Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment at the MET is excited at the partnership; “The MET is thrilled to begin a partnership with Whitehawk FC by sponsoring their shirts
for the 2018/19 season. We can’t wait to see the teams run out in their new MET branded kit and we are excited at the prospect of working with a grass-roots, inclusive, and community-focused
organisation. We already have plans for several events at the TerraPura Ground, and are also looking forward to many opportunities for our students to benefit from the partnership. Through supporting the Hawks we look forward to continuing our engagement with the local community and raising awareness for both the football club and the MET.”

Head of Commercial at Whitehawk FC Kevin Miller said; “I am delighted to welcome the staff and students of the MET to Whitehawk FC. As we began to discuss how we could work together it
became clear that there is a tremendous opportunity for both parties to create a pioneering partnership, and the club can play an active part in creating many opportunities to pave the way for
much needed experience for our region’s student population, something in the current climate we believe is essential.”

He added; “It also demonstrates how Whitehawk Football Club are embracing its local community, and I invite the City and the region of Brighton & Hove to join us to create a bold, exciting and creative community of people, business opportunities and ideas. I look forward to working with Lucie and her team throughout the season.”

The partnership represents the largest, most comprehensive shirt sponsorship deal for the club in the last 10 years, and the new home kit will be unveiled at the Hawk’s next home match, against
Wingate & Finchley on Saturday, August 25, kick off 3pm.
