Whitehawk FC are pleased to announce the completion of the signings of experienced duo Midfielder Brian Howard and Forward Kevin Lisbie and also young Goalkeeper Tom Stewart.
Midfielder Brian Howard signs for The Hawks after most recently playing for Romsey Town and Alresford Town in the Wessex League. Brian started his career on the South Coast with Southampton, but after being released in 2003 he signed for Swindon Town, featuring 70 times for The Robins, including in the 2004 Second Division Playoffs against Brighton and Hove Albion. Brian then moved onto Barnsley, where he made 121 appearances, scoring 27 goals. Whilst at Barnsley, Brian famously scored a 93rd minute winner to defeat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield in the Yorkshire sides 2008 FA Cup run, where they also defeated Chelsea in the following round and ended up losing to Cardiff City in the Semi-Final. Following a spell with Sheffield United, who he featured for in the 2009 Championship Playoff Final at Wembley, Brian was signed by Reading for £500,000 and featured 59 times for The Royals. Brian has also played for Millwall, Portsmouth, Bristol City, CSKA Sofia in Bulgaria, Birmingham City, Oxford United and Eastleigh.
Forward Kevin Lisbie signs for The Hawks after most recently playing for Barnet in 2016.
