The Hawks have been given a Home draw in the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round and will take on Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division side Merthyr Town.

The Martyrs currently sit 8th in their league and have defeated Barnstaple Town 4-0 in the First Qualifying Round and defeated AFC Portchester 2-0 in the Second Qualifying Round to earn themselves a trip to The Enclosed Ground.

The Hawks themselves qualified for the Third Qualifying Round in thrilling fashion after a dramatic 3-2 win over fellow National League South side East Thurrock United, with a brace from Reece Connolly and a brilliant goal from young loanee Jack Masterton sealing a win.

The tie will be played on Saturday 1st October with a 3PM kickoff. Any replay would be played away in Wales at Penydarren Park the following midweek.
