Whitehawk FC acknowledges the support of The Football Conference Trust which awarded us Community Development Funding. The grant has helped to regenerate our youth & community activities involving football and multi-sports.
This funding has helped the club to engage more with its local community, including young people’s associations, colleges and schools to provide coaching football skills and promote Whitehawk FC as a community focused club.
The Football Conference Trust is a charity created to support and develop community programmes at Football Conference clubs. It is a partnership between the Football Conference, the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association. More than 60 Conference clubs have so far been helped in this way. As Chairman John Summers commented: “This project would not have been possible without the generous contribution from the Trust and everyone at Whitehawk wishes to thank Chairman Brian Lee of the Football Conference Trust, the Premier League and the Professional Footballer’s Association for their invaluable and timely support.”
The activities involved outreach to Whitehawk’s local young people in an area of disadvantage, especially targeting children and teenager’s participation. The club is engaging with those targeted to improve health and personal development.
