Whitehawk FC are pleased to announce the addition of Helder Silva to Hawks Manager Pablo Asensio’s Backroom Staff.

Helder, 36 and originally from Portugal, joins The Hawks in the role of Chief Scout and will assist Pablo with recruitment and development with players whilst at the club. He previously worked at Eastbourne Borough for 4 and Half seasons until January 2015, working as a Performance Analyst Scout for the National League South side. He also assisted Pablo behind the scenes following his appointment as Manager in February.

On what brought him to The Hawks, Helder said “I met Pablo one month after I left Eastbourne Borough. After he was appointed Manager, I offered my services to him and our friendship became really strong because Pablo saw the best in me, which for me is important, as after four and a half years in my previous role, it didn’t give me the chance to show what I was made of”.

He adds, “My relationship with Pablo is fantastic. We work really well together which is very beneficial for the team, which worked well last season as we made the play-offs and now we are preparing for the new season, right down to the minimal details. I’m grateful to Pablo and the Whitehawk FC Board of Directors for this opportunity to work for the best club in the National League South”.

On the club and the fans, Helder said “I look forward to working at Whitehawk and I will give the best of myself to help the club achieve in the present and in the future. The club have amazing fans and when I saw the support that was behind the team……there is just no words to describe it!”

“And to be fair, who doesn’t want to work for a club like Whitehawk when they have fans like this, they are incredible!”.
